Baby Cradle
This is why I haven't been blogging much the last couple days. I had to finish building this cradle for my niece's new baby.
The baby blanket was hand crocheted by my dear wife for the baby.
Now we have to decide whether we are driving over to Bakersfield to deliver it or if we're going to wait till Vetern's Day weekend when they are in town.
I got the cradle plans in a copy of Wood magazine - look here: http://www.woodstore.net/pendulumcradle.html
I modified the plans a little. I shortened the height of the sides and widened them a bit, because I didn't really like the proportions of the original. I also changed the supports to be more of an arts and crafts style with the four small square uprights instead of just a single piece. Don't remember why, it just seemed right this way.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I am sure your niece will be very happy!
Do you have plans for the cradle? I would love for my husband to build one for our little one arriving this summer?
Thanks!
Christie
