Excuse the replays here, I was telling a friend about our spring desert flowers and this was the easiest way to get them online for her to see what I was talking about.

Just recently hired on at Edwards AFB. I took the time to take a short jaunt to Inyokern/Ridgecrest/China Lake on the 14th of this month. I am living in Cal City so it was up Nuralia Road to the 14 to Inyokern and across to Ridgecrest. Nice town ya got there.
ReplyDeleteI grew up on the High Plains of NC Montana. I know about being a transplant. Done it a lot. I think I would like to put you on the blogroll.
Welcome to the high desert.
ReplyDeleteI see from your profile that you are a model railroader. There is a pretty good train club here in town. A couple of my best friends are avid railroaders. I would love the hobby but cannot afford another hobby (neither time nor money) so I avoid it.
Let me know if you would like information about the club...
It was a real train. I worked for Herzog Contracting on the GPS Ballast trains. But the info would be cool. I managed to spend 3 of 4 winters between Flagstaff and Barstow!
ReplyDeleteNot much in Cal City.
I was hoping I would get a call from the Navy and get on at China Lake. Being Retired Navy Air and all. I may try a contractor or two. I think I found one today on an internet search. It is a case of being around a more familiar system. And if the Air Force was willing to take on an old A-6 guy....Why not the Navy Civil Service?
