Boxer Compromise

"You have both sides criticizing it, which means that we did what we had to do, we compromised in a fair way,"

Senator Barbara Boxer speaking about the Senate Health Care Bill

Just how stupid is our Senator Boxer - the only fair compromise she can imagine is one that pisses off everyone? I have bricks laying in the dirt in my backyard that are smarter than this woman.

Remember, my friend, that she thinks no one can see through the smoke and mirrors of her lies and deceit. But it may come back to cause her pain in the next election.
And, yes she is dumber than the bricks in your back yard.

In her defense there is a classic "Calvin and Hobbes" comic that makes the point that a good compromise is one that all party's walk away from upset. Apparently when, like Calvin, she is posturing herself at the far end of the spectrum it hurts to make concessions with another.

However I can understand that a compromise where everyone is happy or only one party is happy is not truly a compromise unless one party is truly a great negotiator or both party's are interested in the quality of the solution rather than a "I got mine" mentality.
