The Planetary Society's launch of a solar sail spaceship via a Russian Volna rocket has gone missing.
The Russian space agency (RKA) has made a tentative conclusion that the Volna rocket carrying Cosmos 1 failed during the firing of the first stage.
Either that or one of the ultra-secret space based weapons that George Bush had stashed on board misfired and destroyed the whole thing.
Opps, I probably wasn't suppossed to mention those......
