The California Teachers Association has decided to increase thier annual dues by $60 per year per teacher
to protect minimum funding to our public schools and to ensure the concerns of teachers, students and parents are heard if the governor calls a wasteful special election.
In other words they need more money for more ad champaigns to tell the people of the state of California that a 2.9 billion dollar increase in school spending next year is a budget cut.
Gee if the CTA would go after thier own administrators like Supervisor Baker who I just mentioned in my last post they could stop soaking money from their members that they claim are so underpaid. Supervisor Baker's salary increase and bonus alone would pay the dues increase for over 5000 teachers.
